Job Purpose

He will be responsible for end-to-end production planning, scheduling, inventory management, order fulfillment, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of customer commitments. The role requires effective demand-supply balancing, capacity utilization, material planning, production monitoring, and inventory optimization to support business objectives and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling

- Develop and execute production plans based on customer demand forecasts and confirmed orders.
- Coordinate with manufacturing sites to obtain production commitments against customer requirements.
- Ensure alignment between demand, production, inventory, and supply plans for timely order fulfillment.
- Maximize utilization of available manufacturing capacity and resources.
- Coordinate with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials for planned production.

Demand vs Commitment Management

- Review customer demand against plant commitments and identify gaps.
- Track and monitor Demand vs Commitment performance.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure business commitments are achieved.
- Proactively identify risks impacting production and customer deliveries and drive corrective actions.

Production & Dispatch Monitoring

- Collect production and dispatch schedules from manufacturing plants.




- Monitor daily production and dispatch performance against committed quantities.
- Conduct regular reviews through Cross-Functional Team (CFT) meetings.
- Ensure adherence to production and dispatch plans and address potential delays proactively.

Reporting & MIS

- Prepare and circulate daily, weekly, and monthly reports covering:
- Demand vs Commitment
- Production status
- Dispatch performance
- Order fulfillment status
- Inventory performance

Inventory Optimization

- Maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
- Monitor slow-moving and non-moving inventory and escalate concerns to management.
- Coordinate with relevant functions to develop and implement inventory liquidation and optimization plans.
- Support inventory control initiatives to improve working capital efficiency.

Cross-Functional Coordination

- Collaborate closely with Sales, Business Development, Production, Procurement, Supply Chain, QA/QC, Logistics, and Plant teams.
- Drive seamless communication and coordination across functions to ensure successful execution of customer orders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in planning, scheduling, inventory management, and customer service.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Chemisty/Engineering, Pharmacy, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- MBA/PGDM in Operations or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 5 to 10 years of experience in Production Planning, PPIC, Supply Chain Planning, or Manufacturing Operations.
- Experience in Pharmaceutical API

Key Skills

- ERP/SAP Systems
- Advanced Excel & Power point presentations.
- Fluent communication in English.
