Responsibilities

- Administer PostgreSQL, EDB EPAS, Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL & Azure PostgreSQL Versatile Server.
- Manage HA/DR, replication, failover, backup & recovery, PITR and WAL recovery.
- Configure and manage Aurora Global Database, Azure HA, EFM, RepMgr, Streaming & Logical Replication.
- Perform performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, partitioning and capacity planning.
- Manage pgBackRest, pg_dump, Aurora Snapshots and Azure Backup/LTR.
- Monitor databases using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, AWS CloudWatch & Performance Insights.
- Implement database security using RBAC, SSL/TLS, pgAudit, IAM and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Perform database upgrades, patching, scaling and maintenance.
- Automate DBA activities using Shell, Python and Ansible.
- Participate in 24x7 production support, incident management, RCA and DR drills.
