Job Summary

The Senior Manager Accounts & Finance is responsible for overseeing the organization's financial accounting, reporting, taxation, budgeting, statutory compliance, internal controls, treasury, and audit functions. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and supports strategic business decision-making through financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

- Day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate bookkeeping.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards Review general ledger, trial balance, and financial reconciliations.
- Monitor month-end and year-end closing activities.

Budgeting & Financial Planning

- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Monitor budget performance and analyse variances.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
- Support long-term financial planning and business strategy.

Taxation & Compliance

- Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory returns.
- Coordinate with tax consultants and regulatory authorities.
- Monitor compliance with Companies Act and other applicable laws.
- Keep updated on changes in tax and financial regulations.

Audit & Internal Controls

- Coordinate statutory, internal, and tax audits.
- Implement and strengthen internal financial controls.
- Address audit observations and ensure timely closure.




- Develop and monitor risk management practices.

- Monitor fund utilization and liquidity.
- Oversee payments, collections, and banking operations.
- Evaluate financing requirements and investment opportunities.

MIS & Business Support

- Prepare management reports and financial dashboards.
- Analyse profitability, cost structures, and operational performance.
- Support senior management with financial modelling and decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on business initiatives.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Expertise in GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Tally, or NetSuite.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis.
- Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning expertise.
- Leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
