Roles

- Scale and manage design systems and pattern libraries across the organization.
- Build and maintain communities and governance structures around design system adoption.
- Lead and run design system teams consisting of designers, design engineers, and front-end developers.
- Envision and establish new design patterns that can be applied across products.
- Select the tools, systems, and platforms for design teams to operationalize and bring efficiencies to design activities.
- Act as a specialist on digital delivery mediums and upskill others on designing for them.
- Mentor colleagues on how to facilitate valuable, clean design practices.
- Identify workflow techniques that drive efficiencies, reduce repetitive actions, and encourage cost savings.
- Collaborate with partners to define the governance and contribution model of design systems.
- Anticipate and engage with design trends and emerging tools and technologies, communicating their value to the wider team.
- Ensure appropriate UX and visual design processes are integrated throughout the development lifecycle.
- Define and sculpt the vision and end-to-end flow for complete products and services.
- Stay up to date with accessibility compliance requirements and drive implementation within designs.




- Understand technical constraints, user goals, and business requirements that shape products.
- Recognize cultural aspects of UI design and apply them to visual design strategies.

You Will Have
Essential Requirements

- Engineering background with experience building design systems.
- Expert-level proficiency in Figma with hands-on experience in design system development.
- Experience being part of or running a design system team.
- Proven ability to work independently and confidently handle projects with limited support.
- Strong knowledge of design processes and methodologies.
- Experience building communities and governance structures around design systems.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams consisting of designers, design engineers, and front-end developers.

Additional Qualifications

- BS/MS degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of Agile or Lean UX methodologies and experience in collaborative, agile environments.
- Experience working in complex business environments supporting fast-paced projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
