Job Description
We are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to provide day-to-day IT support to end users and ensure smooth functioning of desktops, laptops, peripherals, and basic network connectivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L1/L2 desktop and end-user support for hardware and software issues.
- Troubleshoot Windows OS, desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications and system updates.
- Perform hardware installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot basic LAN, Wi-Fi, IP, DNS, DHCP, and network connectivity issues.
- Handle user account, password, and access-related issues.
- Install and configure MS Office / Microsoft 365 applications.
- Maintain IT assets and update hardware/software inventory.
- Log, track, and close incidents/service requests within defined SLA.
- Coordinate with the central IT team/vendors for escalated issues.
- Maintain proper documentation of incidents, assets, and support activities.
- Required Skills
- Positive knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Desktop Troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with hardware and peripheral troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of networking TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN.
- Knowledge of Active Directory and user administration.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365.
- Basic knowledge of ITIL/Service Desk processes will be an advantage.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
Qualification
BE/B.Tech / BCA / B.Sc. / Diploma / equivalent qualification in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
Preferred Profile
Candidates with experience in manufacturing, warehouse, plant, logistics, or industrial IT support environments will be preferred.
