The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing,
monitoring, and enforcing Health, Safety Workplace (HSE) standards for Wind/Solar
Power Project. The role involves ensuring compliance with statutory
regulations, company safety policies, safety management, and fostering a strong
safety culture across all project activities including civil, electrical,
transmission line, substation, turbine erection, and commissioning works.

Health Safety Management

- Implement

and monitor the project-specific HSE Management System.

- Ensure

compliance with applicable statutory requirements, client requirements,
and company safety standards.

- Conduct

daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and conditions.

- Monitor

compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) systems for high-risk activities.

- Ensure

proper use of PPE by all employees, contractors, and visitors.

Risk Assessment Hazard Control

- Conduct

Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment
(HIRA) for project activities.

- Recommend

and implement corrective and preventive actions for identified risks.

- Ensure

adequate safety controls for:

- Lifting

Operations

- Turbine

Erection Activities

- Electrical

Works

- Excavation

Civil Works

- Confined

Space Entry

- Hot

Work Activities

Training Awareness

- Conduct

daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.

- Organize





monthly safety campaigns and awareness programs.

- Deliver

training on emergency response, fire safety, work-at-height safety,
electrical safety, and first aid.

- Promote

behavioral safety practices across the project.

Incident Investigation Reporting

- Investigate

accidents, near misses, dangerous occurrences, and unsafe conditions.

- Prepare

incident investigation reports and recommend preventive measures.

- Maintain

records of incidents, observations, and corrective actions.

- Track

closure of safety observations and action points.

Emergency Preparedness

- Ensure

availability and maintenance of emergency response equipment.

- Conduct

mock drills for fire, medical emergencies, and rescue operations.

- Coordinate

with local emergency services whenever required.

Documentation Compliance

- Maintain all HSE records, registers, permits, and statutory documents.

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports.

- Ensure compliance with Factories Act, Building Other Construction Workers (BOCW) Act, IS Standards, and other applicable regulations.

- Support internal and external HSE audits.
