Design enterprise capable automation frameworks

Review current automation frameworks and prepare a list of improvements and upgrades

Design a current API automation framework

Track and build plans for the automation teams on how/when to implement automation improvements

Where no automation exists, build a plan for creating an automation strategy

Train automation team on coding and development best practices

Design an automation framework for back-end automation using database queries, scripts, and tools outside of the application UI

Build a future state automation framework within AWS

Build and maintain an enterprise level test data management strategy and framework

Focus on lessons learned for continuous process improvement

Design and implement a performance testing strategy

Integrate all frameworks into Sonarqube for code quality analysis

Qualifications of the QE Sr Automation Architect

Master s Degree in computer related field or equal work experience

6 years of developing, maintaining and ensuring quality of a web application using a variety of automated testing tools. 8 years of this experience is preferred

Working level knowledge of Python, Java, and .Net

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities of the QE Sr Automation Architect

Experience using and building test automation tools for functional, load and performance testing

Experience developing automated tests in an environment such as Selenium, using an Object-Oriented approach for web-based applications

Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) web-application environments

Strong knowledge of writing and executing SQL queries to use in database testing





Hands-on experience with testing large scale web sites and web services

Familiar with Unit Testing and how it integrates into the overall automation strategy

Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines

Experience in the QA lifecycle as evidenced by ability to articulate the QA process as well as tangible outputs like test plans, test scripts, bug reports, etc.

Excellent communication, organizational, problem solving, risk analysis, and decision-making skills

Ability to clearly explain findings effectively with solid technical writing skills

Be a proactive individual that exhibit initiative within a scrum team workplace

Expert level knowledge integrating automation frameworks in CI/CD pipelines

Working level knowledge of AWS with the ability to build infrastructure used for automation and performance testing

Masterful knowledge of coding best practices

Ability to create a layered strategy that takes into account all levels of testing

Ability to design an automation strategy based around the test pyramid

Knowledge of containers and how to build an automation infrastructure leveraging Docker or other container solutions

Knowledge of AI tools and capabilities that could enhance testing approaches and automation frameworks

Knowledge of performance testing tools

Working level knowledge of Sonarqube

Strong knowledge of security testing and how to integrate security testing into automation
