Production Manager Steel Industry (HRS, CRS & CTL)

Qualification

- B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Relevant technical and production management experience in the steel industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Responsible for overall production operations of:
- CTL #1, CTL #2, CTL #3 & CTL #4
- HRS #1, HRS #2 & HRS #3

- Plan and monitor daily/monthly production as per production targets and customer requirements.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, materials and resources.
- Monitor production efficiency, productivity, rejection, downtime and yield.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, PPC, Stores and Dispatch departments for smooth production operations.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules and minimize machine downtime.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain required quality standards and minimize rejection/rework.




- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, SOPs and company policies on the shop floor.
- Lead, guide and develop production supervisors, operators and other shop-floor personnel.
- Prepare and review production MIS and performance reports for management.
- Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives.

Candidate Profile

- 10–15 years of hands-on experience in production operations in the steel industry, preferably in Cut-to-Length (CTL), Hot Rolled Strip (HRS) and Cold Rolled Strip (CRS) / steel processing lines.
- Strong knowledge of steel processing, production planning, shop-floor management and manpower handling.
- Should have valuable technical knowledge of production machinery and process parameters.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving and team-management skills.
- Candidate should be capable of independently managing multiple production lines and achieving production targets.

Compensation

80,000 – 1,00,000 per month, depending upon experience, technical expertise and suitability for the role.
