Our projects span across residential, commercial, industrial, institutional and infrastructure environments.

We are looking for an ELV Service Engineer who can independently handle service, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and technical support across different types of customer sites.

Role Overview

The ELV Service Engineer will be responsible for installation support, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and service of ELV and IT infrastructure systems at residential and commercial customer locations.

The role requires strong practical troubleshooting ability, basic networking knowledge, customer-handling skills and the ability to work independently at site.

Key Responsibilities

1. ELV Service & Troubleshooting

- Attend service calls across residential and commercial customer sites.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to:

- IP CCTV Cameras
- NVR/DVR Systems
- PoE & Network Switches
- Video Door Phones
- Access Control Systems
- Digital Door Locks
- Wi-Fi Access Points
- LAN & Structured Cabling
- Other ELV and low-voltage systems

- Identify the root cause of problems related to devices, power supply, cabling, networking, configuration or installation.
- Repair, replace, reconfigure or rectify faulty systems as required.
- Coordinate with OEM technical support for complex issues.

2. CCTV & Surveillance Systems

- Configure and troubleshoot IP cameras and NVR systems.
- Perform camera addition, IP configuration and recording configuration.
- Troubleshoot camera communication, recording and storage-related issues.
- Diagnose PoE and network-related camera problems.
- Configure remote monitoring and mobile applications.
- Support surveillance systems across apartments, villas, offices, factories, warehouses, institutions and commercial facilities.

3. Networking & Wi-Fi

- Troubleshoot basic LAN and IP networking issues.
- Configure IP addresses, subnet, gateway and DHCP settings.
- Troubleshoot PoE switches, network switches and connectivity issues.
- Support Wi-Fi Access Point installation and troubleshooting.
- Identify network-related causes of ELV system failures.
- Perform basic network testing and cable testing.

4. Access Control, VDP & Other ELV Systems

- Install, configure and troubleshoot:

- Access Control Systems
- Video Door Phones
- Digital Door Locks
- Intercom Systems
- Door Controllers
- Related ELV equipment

- Perform system testing and commissioning.




- Troubleshoot communication, power and connectivity issues.

5. Preventive Maintenance

- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance for customer systems.
- Inspect equipment condition, connectivity, power, recording and overall system health.
- Identify potential failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Carry out periodic health checks for critical ELV systems.
- Maintain proper service history for customer sites.

6. Project & Commissioning Support

- Support Project Engineers during installation and commissioning.
- Assist with testing and commissioning of ELV systems.
- Verify device connectivity, configuration and functionality.
- Support project handover and snag closure.
- Attend project-related technical issues after commissioning.
- Assist in resolving site-level technical issues during project execution.

7. Customer Site Handling

- Visit customer sites and understand the reported problem before taking corrective action.
- Communicate professionally with customers, facility teams, security teams, maintenance teams and other site personnel.
- Explain technical issues and corrective actions clearly.
- Maintain professional behaviour at all customer locations.
- Obtain customer confirmation after completion of service work.

8. Documentation & Reporting

- Complete service reports/job sheets for every site visit.
- Record:

- Complaint
- Diagnosis
- Root cause
- Action taken
- Materials/spares used
- Pending issues
- Recommendations

- Capture photographs and technical information wherever required.
- Escalate unresolved issues with proper technical details.
- Update service status to the internal team on time.

Technical Skills

Essential

- Good practical knowledge of IP CCTV systems.
- Working knowledge of LAN and IP networking.
- Understanding of:

- IP Addressing
- Subnet
- Gateway
- DHCP
- PoE
- Network Switches

- Experience in NVR/DVR configuration and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of CAT6/LAN cabling and cable testing.
- Basic understanding of DC power supplies, adapters, PoE and low-voltage systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot using a laptop and basic network tools.

Good to Have

- Experience with Hikvision, CP Plus, Dahua, Prama, Matrix or similar products.
- Access Control experience.
- Video Door Phone/intercom experience.
- Digital Door Lock experience.
- Wi-Fi Access Point configuration.
- Managed switch configuration.
- Basic VLAN knowledge.
- Fiber optic networking knowledge.
- Experience working with larger commercial/industrial ELV systems.

Candidate Profile

- Has good hands-on troubleshooting ability.
- Understands the fundamentals of IP networking.
- Can work independently at customer sites.
- Is comfortable working on both small and large ELV systems.
- Can identify root causes instead of simply replacing equipment.
- Has good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Is willing to travel across Bengaluru and other project locations when required.
- Maintains proper documentation after every service visit.
- Takes ownership of the problem until it is properly resolved.
- Is willing to continuously learn new ELV, networking and technology solutions.

Qualification & Experience

Qualification: Any Graduate/Non-Graduate

Experience: 2-5 years of experience in ELV, CCTV, Networking, Security Systems, IT Infrastructure or related technical services.

Candidates with strong hands-on experience in ELV service and networking may also be considered irrespective of their exact educational background.
