Job Summary

As a Senior Software Tester, you ensure software is reliable and release-ready through manual and automated testing, defect identification, regression testing, and close collaboration with SDT. Your goal is simple: find problems before users do.

What You Will Own - Your Responsibilities

- Test planning execution - design and execute functional, integration, regression, and edge-case testing for new features and releases.
- Manual exploratory testing - identify defects that automated tests may miss through structured and exploratory testing.
- Test automation - develop, maintain, and improve automated regression test cases and contribute to expanding automation coverage.
- Defect management - document defects clearly with severity, impact, evidence, and reproducible steps; track defects through closure.
- Release regression validation - verify fixes and ensure new releases do not introduce regressions into existing functionality.
- SDT collaboration - work closely with developers to analyse root causes, clarify defects, validate fixes, and improve overall product quality.

Non-Negotiable Metric

- Defects caught before release target: 75%
- At least 75% of identified defects must be caught during testing before production release, with solid regression coverage and accurate defect reporting maintained across assigned releases.

Qualifications

- Experience - 3 years of professional experience in software testing / QA, with hands-on experience across manual and automated testing.
- Technical skills - strong understanding of functional, integration, regression, API, and exploratory testing; experience with test automation frameworks and defect-tracking tools.
- Engineering knowledge - working knowledge of web applications, REST APIs, databases, Git, CI/CD concepts, and software development lifecycle.
- Preferred exposure - experience testing JavaScript/MERN-stack applications and familiarity with automation scripting.
- Problem-solving - strong analytical ability, attention to detail, defect investigation skills, and clear technical communication.
