JD QA ANALYST

POSITION SUMMARY:

The QA Analyst is responsible for executing quality assurance activities across enterprise applications supporting hedge fund, asset management, trading, operations, investor reporting, risk management, infrastructure, and back-office functions.

This role supports software quality through requirements analysis, test planning, test case development, manual and automated test execution, defect management, release validation, and close collaboration with business and technology stakeholders.

The QA Analyst is a hands-on contributor who supports continuous improvement through automation, CI/CD-integrated testing, Playwright adoption, AI-assisted test design, and accurate quality reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Analyze business and technical requirements to identify test conditions, dependencies, risks, and acceptance criteria.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test data, traceability, and test evidence.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, API, database, smoke, sanity, UAT support, and production validation testing.
- Validate applications and workflows supporting asset management, hedge fund operations, trading, reporting, risk, accounting, reconciliation, and enterprise technology functions.
- Verify data, financial calculations, reports, interfaces, batch jobs, business rules, and downstream system impacts.
- Identify, document, prioritize, retest, and track defects through closure using established defect management processes.
- Participate in defect triage, root cause discussions, release readiness reviews, and test closure activities.
- Communicate test progress, defects, risks, dependencies, blockers, and quality concerns to QA leads and project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, product owners, infrastructure teams, DevOps, operations, and other QA team members.
- Create and maintain reusable manual and automated regression, sanity, smoke, web service, and infrastructure validation suites.
- Develop, enhance, review, and maintain automated tests using Playwright and other approved automation tools.




- Support automated test execution through CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Use approved AI-assisted tools such as Copilot, Cursor, Codex, or similar platforms to support requirements analysis, test case generation, test data preparation, defect analysis, automation development, and documentation.
- Follow responsible and secure AI usage practices, including appropriate handling of sensitive business, application, and test data.
- Evaluate test results and contribute to QA metrics, dashboards, automation coverage reporting, defect trends, and release-quality insights.
- Participate in production deployments, infrastructure patch validations, post-release checks, and issue-resolution activities as needed.
- Maintain QA documentation and share application, domain, test, and automation knowledge with onshore and offshore team members.
- Follow QA standards, governance processes, quality checkpoints, and release readiness criteria.
- Identify opportunities to reduce testing cycle time, increase automation coverage, improve defect prevention, and strengthen release quality.
- Demonstrate accountability, attention to detail, collaboration, continuous learning, and ownership of assigned deliverables.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of Quality Assurance or software testing experience.
- Hands-on experience with test planning, test case design, test execution, defect management, regression testing, and release validation.
- Experience testing web applications, APIs, databases, batch processes, integrations, and enterprise platforms.
- Experience supporting financial services, asset management, mortgage servicing, investment management,



or enterprise technology environments is preferred.
- Working knowledge of SDLC, Agile, DevOps, release management, and software quality practices.
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar test management and ALM tools.
- Working knowledge of SQL and data validation techniques.
- Exposure to automation frameworks and modern quality engineering practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

SKILLS:

- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC, Agile, DevOps, and release management.
- Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into transparent, traceable test scenarios and test cases.
- Hands-on experience with functional, regression, integration, API, database, smoke, sanity, and production validation testing.
- Experience with Playwright or another modern automation framework.
- Experience with Selenium, Playwright, REST API automation, Postman, or similar tools is preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Experience with AI-assisted tools such as Copilot, Cursor, Codex, or similar solutions is preferred.
- Ability to use approved AI tools for test case generation, automation support, documentation, defect analysis, and productivity improvement.
- SQL, database testing, data validation, and backend verification skills.
- Ability to validate complex business workflows, financial calculations, reports, interfaces, and system integrations.
- Strong defect documentation, retesting, risk identification, and release validation skills.
- Ability to maintain QA metrics, dashboards, test evidence, and status reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including business, development, infrastructure, DevOps, and operations.
- Strong attention to detail, ownership, adaptability, and commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
