The Planning Engineer will be responsible for ensuring On-Time Delivery (OTD) of the plant and will act as a strong link between the customer, plant, and procurement teams.

The role will be responsible for managing the overall Finished Goods (FG) inventory of the plant and guiding the procurement team in arranging the required bought-out components/materials to support FG requirements.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Receive and consolidate customer demands, orders, and forecasts, and translate them into a manufacturing plan.
- Prepare manufacturing plans considering customer requirements, priorities, demand, and available capacity.
- Ensure BOM (Bill of Materials) availability for weekly and monthly requirements in coordination with the procurement team.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely order fulfillment and escalate any gaps or potential delays.
- Generate, maintain, consolidate, and track various reports to monitor and evaluate plant performance.
- Coordinate with customers and the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of finished goods.




- Monitor finished goods inventory and ensure optimum inventory levels in line with customer requirements.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure the timely availability of bought-out components/materials required for production.
- Identify potential supply or capacity constraints and take proactive actions to minimize their impact on customer deliveries.

Qualification & Experience Required

- Engineering graduate (B.E./B.Tech. Mechanical/Production) with 4–7 years of experience in PPC, Production Planning, or Logistics.
- Experience in an engineering industry/auto ancillary organization, preferably handling 500+ finished goods/SKUs.
- Solid understanding and working knowledge of demand-driven planning.
- Working knowledge of a reputed ERP system, particularly in Sales & Distribution (S&D;).
- Ability to handle, analyze, and interpret large volumes of data.
