Role & responsibilities

1. Monitor welding operations as per approved SOP, Work Instructions, and Control Plan .

2. Ensure welding parameters such as current, voltage, weld time, pressure and other specified parameters are maintained.

3. Ensure correct welding sequence, fixture setting and component positioning.

4. Monitor weld quality and identify defects such as weld spatter, burn-through, improper fusion, weak weld, missing weld and weld position shift.

5. Reduce downtime, rejection, rework and material wastage.

6. Ensure smooth changeover and startup of welding lines.

7. Ensure products are manufactured according to drawing, specifications and customer requirements.

8. Monitor welding quality through defined inspection methods.

9. Ensure proper implementation of Control Plan and inspection standards.

10. Control weld-related rejection and rework.

11. Perform Root Cause Analysis / Why-Why Analysis for process defects.

12. Implement corrective and preventive actions and verify their effectiveness.

13. Support customer complaint analysis and corrective actions.

14. Ensure 100% PPE compliance

15. Maintain 5S and visual management

16. Implement Kaizen, Poka-Yoke and process improvement activities.
