HR Manager — House of Daisy
Location: Gurugram, Haryana | Experience: 5–8 years | Full-time, on-roll
Industry: Bridal & Celebration Wear / Fashion Retail
About the role
House of Daisy is a bridal and celebration wear label in Gurugram. We are looking for an HR Manager to own the complete HR function across our retail store and our in-house production unit. This is a standalone role reporting to the Founder — you will build the function, not inherit one.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRA)
1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Own end-to-end hiring for store, production, design, marketing and back-office roles
- Reduce time-to-fill and maintain a ready talent pipeline for high-turnover positions
- Ensure all positions are staffed before peak wedding and festive season
- Issue offer and appointment letters, complete documentation and run structured induction
2. Attendance, Payroll Inputs & Compensation
- Manage attendance, leave and shift rosters across both sites
- Deliver an accurate monthly payroll input sheet to Accounts on a fixed date
- Administer retail incentive schemes and production-side wage structures
- Process full-and-final settlements and exit documentation within defined turnaround
3. Statutory Compliance & Labour Law
- Ensure full compliance under the current labour codes, EPF, ESI, gratuity and maternity benefit provisions
- Maintain establishment registrations and file all statutory returns on time
- Constitute and maintain the POSH Internal Committee, conduct annual awareness and file the annual return
- Keep the organisation audit-ready with zero penalties or late filings
4. Performance Management
- Run the annual KRA cycle — goal setting, mid-year review and appraisal
- Ensure 100% of on-roll employees have signed KRAs
- Close probation and confirmation decisions on time and on evidence
- Identify high performers and build a succession line for supervisory roles
5. Employee Relations, Discipline & Grievance Handling
- Act as first point of contact for employee grievances across both sites
- Handle disciplinary matters through a documented warning, show-cause and enquiry process
- Resolve attendance, conduct and shift-allocation issues fairly and on record
- Identify and address attrition risk before it escalates
6. Training & Development
- Build and execute the annual training calendar
- Cover client handling, product knowledge, grooming, POSH, and fire and safety
- Conduct shop-floor training in Hindi for the production team
- Link training completion to confirmation and increment decisions
7. HR Operations, Records & Policy
- Maintain complete and compliant personnel files for every employee
- Draft and update the employee handbook and HR policies in Hindi and English
- Manage the HRMS / biometric attendance system and its data accuracy
- Publish a monthly HR dashboard — headcount, joinings, exits, attrition, open positions, cost per hire
8. Employee Engagement & Retention
- Drive the engagement calendar across festivals, recognition and celebrations
- Conduct exit interviews for all separations and report attrition trends
- Own the retention plan for peak season
Candidate Requirements
- Graduate with MBA / PGDM in HR or Personnel Management
- 5–8 years in HR, with at least 2 years handling HR independently
- Experience in retail, fashion, hospitality or a retail-plus-production environment
- Working knowledge of current Indian labour legislation and hands-on experience with PF, ESI, gratuity and POSH compliance
- Strong command of Hindi and English, both written and spoken
- Proficient in Excel and HRMS / attendance systems
- Based in Gurugram or willing to relocate
