A Chinese Commi 1 and Commi 2 are junior kitchen staff members responsible for food preparation, station setup (mise en place), and assisting senior chefs with cooking authentic Chinese dishes
- Experience in a Chinese kitchen or restaurant is preferred.
- Commis 1: 2–4 years of relevant experience.
- Commis 2: 1–2 years of relevant experience; freshers with culinary training may also be considered.
- Basic to good knowledge of Chinese cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work in a quick-paced kitchen environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Positive attitude, discipline, and willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
