Role & responsibilities

Process Routing & Planning

- Create and maintain process routings for each part operation sequence, work-center/machine allocation, and standard cycle times in the ERP system.
- Update routings for engineering changes (ECNs), recent parts, and process improvements.
- Validate routings with CNC/VMC programming and shop floor supervisors to ensure they're practical and achievable.
- Work with the Sr Planning Manager to align part-level routings with overall production schedules and capacity plans.

Assembly Supervision & Daily Work Planning

- Supervise assembly staff on a day-to-day basis assign work, track progress, and resolve floor-level issues.
- Prepare and communicate the daily/weekly work plan for the assembly team based on routings, priorities, and dispatch commitments.
- Monitor output against plan and escalate bottlenecks (material shortage, quality holds, manpower) promptly.
- Ensure assembly processes (fastening, riveting, sub-assembly, etc.) follow documented work instructions and quality standards.

Coordination

- Coordinate with Quality on inspection points built into the routing.




- Coordinate with Production and the Sr Planning Manager on execution feedback, delays, and re-sequencing needs.
- Flag recurring routing or process issues for correction.

Documentation & Systems

- Maintain accurate routing records and work instructions.
- Keep ERP work orders and routing data up to date as parts and processes evolve.

Preferred candidate profile

- B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
- 4–8 years of experience in process/production planning, process routing, or industrial engineering within a precision manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with CNC/VMC machining processes and mechanical assembly (fastening, riveting, sub-assembly).
- Experience supervising shopfloor staff — comfortable creating and managing daily work plans for a team.
- Hands-on with ERP systems for routing/work-order management.
- Strong coordination and communication skills across planning, quality, and production.
