JOB DESCRIPTION – ELECTRICAL ENGINEERPosition: Electrical EngineerDepartment: Projects / ElectricalExperience: 2–5 YearsIndustry: Electrical Infrastructure / Power Distribution / EPC ProjectsJob SummaryWe are looking for a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Projects & Execution team. The candidate will be responsible for planning, execution, supervision, coordination, documentation, estimation, tendering, and completion of electrical projects.

Candidates having hands-on experience with WBSEDCL projects, along with knowledge of housing electrical works, electrical infrastructure projects, and tender-related activities, will be preferred.

- Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, supervise, and execute electrical projects as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, work orders, and applicable standards.
- Coordinate with WBSEDCL officials, project consultants, vendors, subcontractors, and site teams for smooth execution of projects.
- Should have practical knowledge and experience in WBSEDCL-related electrical projects and procedures.
- Monitor project progress, quality, safety, material requirements, manpower, and work schedules.
- Prepare and verify BOQ, quantity calculations, material requirements, estimates, rate analysis, and project cost calculations.
- Handle electrical works related to 11 KV / 33 KV distribution systems, LT systems, transformers, cables, substations, feeder lines, distribution poles, AB cables, earthing, and other electrical infrastructure, as applicable to the project.
- Read and interpret SLD, electrical drawings, layout drawings, cable schedules, and technical specifications.
- Supervise electrical installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and rectification works.
- Coordinate with procurement and stores teams for timely availability of electrical materials.
- Prepare and maintain measurement sheets, DPR/MPR, work completion reports, material reconciliation, testing reports,



and other project documentation.
- Ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with approved specifications, safety procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Tender & Commercial ResponsibilitiesShould have good knowledge of electrical tendering and bidding processes.
- Review tender documents, NIT, BOQ, technical specifications, eligibility criteria, and terms & conditions.
- Assist in preparation and submission of technical and commercial bids.
- Prepare BOQ, estimates, rate analysis, cost sheets, comparative statements, and tender-related documents.
- Study work orders, purchase orders, contracts, amendments, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with management and project teams for tender clarification, documentation, and submission.
- Knowledge of e-tendering portals, EMD, Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG), Security Deposit, and other tender-related requirements will be an added advantage.
- Assist in preparation of RA bills, final bills, variation statements, extra-item statements, and supporting documents.

Housing & Building Project ExperienceThe candidate should have knowledge of electrical works related to housing/residential and building projects, including:

- Electrical wiring and distribution systems
- LT panels and DBs
- Metering and electrical connections
- Internal and external electrification
- Transformer and DG-related works
- Cable laying and termination
- Earthing and lightning protection
- Common-area electrical systems
- Electrical load calculation and distribution
- Coordination with civil, plumbing, HVAC,



and other project teams
- Inspection, testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical installations
- Required Skills & KnowledgeStrong knowledge of Electrical Engineering fundamentals and practical site execution.
- Experience in WBSEDCL projects will be highly preferred.
- Knowledge of 33 KV / 11 KV / LT electrical distribution systems.
- Good understanding of electrical drawings, SLDs, BOQs, specifications, and technical documents.
- Knowledge of housing/residential and infrastructure projects.
- Positive knowledge of tender preparation, estimation, costing, and bidding.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, AutoCAD, and other relevant engineering software.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage site teams, contractors, labour, and vendors.
- Ability to prepare technical reports and project documentation.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
- Educational QualificationB.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Relevant experience in electrical contracting, EPC, power distribution, housing, or infrastructure projects will be preferred.
