Job Description (QC Engineer / Inspector)

Position: QC Engineer / Inspector – Vessel Manufacturing

Department: Quality Assurance & Control / EPC Projects

Location: Vadodara, India

Role Purpose

To ensure quality compliance in the manufacturing of process vessels and EPC equipment by conducting inspections, verifying standards, and maintaining documentation — while ensuring all deliverables are completed within client timelines.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform stage-wise inspections (material receipt, fit-up, welding, hydrotest, final inspection).

* Verify compliance with ASME Section VIII, AWS D1.1, API codes, and client specifications.

* Review and approve WPS, PQR, and welder qualifications.

* Conduct NDT (RT, UT, MT, PT) or coordinate with certified agencies.

* Prepare inspection reports, NCRs, and maintain QC documentation dossiers.





* Ensure timely submission of QC records and certifications to meet client project schedules.

* Liaise with clients, third-party inspectors, and certifying bodies to avoid delays.

* Support production teams with corrective actions and quality improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

* Bachelor’s/Diploma in Mechanical/Metallurgy Engineering.

* 3–7 years of QC experience in vessel/skid manufacturing for EPC companies.

* Certification in NDT methods and welding inspection preferred.

* Strong knowledge of ASME, AWS, API, and ISO standards.

* Proven ability to manage documentation and deliverables within client timelines.

* Valuable communication and coordination skills.
