About the Role

Bhuvaneswari Tools is looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior Service Technician to handle servicing, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of industrial fettling/grinding machines and allied equipment and spare parts.

The selected candidate will be responsible for independently diagnosing machine problems, carrying out mechanical and electrical repairs, testing machines after service and supporting customers with technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Service & Repair

- Diagnose and repair industrial fettling and grinding machines, particularly machines in the approximately 1.5 HP range.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance.
- Dismantle, inspect, repair, replace components and reassemble machines.
- Identify abnormal noise, vibration, heating, shaft movement, electrical faults and other machine problems.
- Check machine performance after repair and ensure safe operation.

Mechanical Work

- Inspect and replace bearings, shafts, bushes, pulleys, couplings and related components.
- Check alignment, balancing and mechanical fitment.
- Identify wear and tear of machine components.
- Recommend suitable spare parts based on actual machine condition.

Electrical Troubleshooting

- Troubleshoot motors, switches, capacitors, starters, cables and basic electrical circuits.
- Identify electrical faults and rectify them safely.
- Basic understanding of single-phase and three-phase motor systems is preferred.
- Coordinate with external electrical specialists whenever advanced electrical work is required.

Spare Parts & Technical Support

- Identify defective components and prepare spare-parts requirements.




- Maintain basic service records and replaced-parts records.
- Support procurement by identifying correct specifications of technical components.
- Assist in developing a standard list of commonly required spare parts.

Customer Service

- Visit customer locations when required for machine inspection and servicing.
- Understand customer complaints and identify the root cause.
- Explain the problem, repair requirement and recommended solution clearly.
- Maintain professional relationships with customers.

Technical Development

- Help Bhuvaneswari Tools develop its industrial machine repair and service capability.
- Support development of standard service procedures, checklists and troubleshooting methods.
- Share practical technical knowledge with junior technicians.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on mechanical troubleshooting ability.
- Good understanding of industrial machines and rotating equipment.
- Practical knowledge of motors and basic electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to use basic measuring and workshop tools.
- Ability to read basic mechanical/electrical drawings is preferred.
- Valuable problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently without continuous supervision.
- Customer-handling ability.
- Willingness to travel locally for service calls.
- Good communication in Tamil; basic English communication is preferred.

Candidate Expectations

The ideal candidate should be a hands-on technician rather than only a supervisor.

He should be capable of taking a machine from:

with minimum supervision.
