Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned, professional, and service-oriented House Manager to oversee the daily operations of a prominent private residence in Mumbai. The primary focus of this role is to introduce structured household management systems, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and clear reporting structures to an existing team of approximately 10 long-standing household staff, while maintaining a positive and harmonious work environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Staff Supervision Leadership

- Supervise, coordinate, and lead an existing team of approximately 10 household staff members.

- Establish clear daily routines, individual responsibilities, schedules, and reporting structures.

- Manage staff attendance, performance, shift rosters, and leave requests with diplomacy and maturity.

- Professionalize operations without unnecessarily disrupting existing staff dynamics.

- Residence Maintenance Operations

- Take overall responsibility for the seamless day-to-day management, cleanliness, and upkeep of the residence.

- Ensure high standards of housekeeping, presentation, and formal service are consistently maintained.

- Oversee and monitor the physical condition of the apartment; identify and promptly resolve maintenance issues.

- Coordinate directly with external vendors, contractors, technicians, and service providers.





- Inventory Administration

- Oversee household inventories, groceries, operating supplies, and routine replenishment.

- Maintain essential household records, schedules, maintenance logs, and administrative documentation.

- Liaise directly with family members to anticipate needs and ensure all preferences are executed efficiently.

- Maintain strict confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism regarding all household matters.

Requirements Qualifications

- Experience: Proven background as a House Manager, Estate Manager, Residence Manager, or Senior Household Supervisor in a high-end private residence.

- Staff Management: Demonstrated maturity and diplomatic leadership skills to guide long-standing household staff effectively.

- Training: Formal House Management or hospitality training is highly preferred.

- Dietary Alignment: Comfortable managing and working in a strictly vegetarian household.

- Professional Attributes: Exceptional communication, strong organizational capabilities, well-groomed, highly disciplined, and committed to a long-term association.

- Preferences: Female candidates are preferred.
