Job Summary

Responsible for managing day-to-day production and welding activities, ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and delivery schedules are achieved. The role involves manpower handling, welding process control, production planning, and coordination with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and other departments.

- Key Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor daily production activities as per customer requirements and production schedules.
- Supervise welding, fabrication, sheet-metal and assembly operations.
- Allocate manpower and machines according to production requirements.
- Monitor welding processes such as MIG/MAG, TIG, Arc welding and spot welding.
- Ensure correct welding parameters, fixtures, consumables and approved work instructions are followed.
- Monitor weld quality and coordinate with the Quality Department for inspection and corrective actions.
- Identify and reduce welding defects such as porosity, undercut, cracks, burn-through and distortion.
- Ensure production targets are achieved with minimum rejection, rework and material wastage.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, welding symbols and process sheets.
- Maintain production records, rejection/rework reports and daily production reports.




- Coordinate with Maintenance for machine breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure proper utilization of raw materials, consumables, manpower and machines.
- Implement 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Train and guide welders, operators and production workers.
- Required SkillsGood knowledge of welding and fabrication processes.

- Ability to read engineering drawings and welding symbols.
- Knowledge of welding defects and inspection methods.

- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Valuable knowledge of welding and fabrication processes.
