Job Description: Technical Engineering Manager (Java / E-commerce)

We are seeking a highly technical, hands-on Engineering Manager from a Product-based background to lead our core platform teams.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java and OOPs concepts, with strong multi-language fluency to manage and contribute to systems built in Python and .NET.
You will drive the architecture and scalability of high-transaction systems within the E-commerce domain.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture

- Design distributed systems: Build and scale high-throughput, low-latency e-commerce platforms.
- Review core architecture: Ensure robust implementation of Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs) principles and design patterns.
- Navigate polyglot systems: Lead a diverse technical ecosystem, seamlessly switching context between Java, Python, and .NET environments.
- Enforce engineering standards: Drive best practices in CI/CD, automated testing, and system monitoring.

Team Management & Delivery

- Lead engineering teams: Mentor, coach, and grow a high-performing team of software engineers.
- Own product delivery: Partner with Product Management to define roadmaps, sprint planning, and execution schedules.
- Manage agile processes: Drive execution via Scrum/Kanban methodologies,



ensuring timely and predictable shipping of features.

Required Technical Skills
Core Backend (Java & OOPs)

- Expert Java proficiency: Deep understanding of Java (8 or higher), Spring Boot, Hibernate, and microservices architecture.
- Solid OOPs foundation: Mastery of SOLID principles, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.

Polyglot Capabilities (.NET & Python)

- Cross-platform fluency: Ability to architect, code-review, and troubleshoot applications built in .NET Core / C#.
- Data & scripting integration: Hands-on experience with Python for automation, data pipelines, or microservices.

Domain-Specific Experience

- E-commerce background: Proven experience managing high-scale e-commerce features (e.g., checkout funnels, shopping carts, inventory management, payment gateways, or pricing engines).
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, alongside containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Databases: Deep knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra) databases.

Qualifications & Prerequisites

- Strict Requirement: Career history rooted in Product-based companies scaling real-time consumer products.
- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Leadership: 3+ years of experience directly managing engineering teams while remaining technically active.
