About the role

TNQTech is looking for a copy editor to join our growing team of people working to redefine content and technology in the scholarly publishing landscape. As a copy editor, youll work both independently and with a team of copy editors to deliver manuscripts that are edited as per journal/publisher style guides. You will work with the team to maintain a high standard of work, while monitoring the work of trainee editors and giving them constructive feedback.

Responsibilities

- Copy edit articles as per the journal’s and/or publisher’s expectations and deliver error-free work
- Check and correct punctuation, spelling, and subject-verb agreement

The ideal candidate

- A graduate with 4 - 10 years of experience in copy editing books/journals for any reputed STM publisher
- Someone with a keen eye for detail, who possesses excellent verbal and written English skills
- An MS Office expert
- An enthusiastic learner with a passion for reading and editing
- Someone who can train junior editors on a variety of topics relevant to TNQTech’s work
- Someone who is available to work in rotational shifts
- Bonus: a copy editor with experience in editing chemistry-related articles
