Job Summary

The Production Planner is responsible for developing, coordinating, and monitoring production schedules to ensure timely manufacturing and delivery of products balancing demand, inventory levels, and production efficiency. The role acts as a bridge between Sales, Procurement, Stores, and Production departments to ensure smooth production flow.

Responsibilities

- Create daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer demand, sales forecasts, and inventory levels.
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet delivery commitments.
- Balance production capacity and material availability.
- Monitor schedule adherence and take corrective actions to address delays.
- Review material availability and coordinate with Material Buyer for shortages.
- Track production performance against plan.
- Follow up on daily production status and report variances.
- Maintain production planning data in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle R12).
- Generate and analyze planning reports, work orders, and production metrics.
- Ensure accuracy of BOMs, routing, lead times, and planning parameters.
- Coordinate with Sales, Material Buyer, Quality, Engineering and Logistics teams.
- Manage production priorities based on customer requirements.

Requirements

- Education: BE/B-Tech Mechanical / Electrical
- 7-10 Years of experience in Production Planning / Manufacturing Planning.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of Capacity Planning and Inventory Management.
- Knowledge of ETO Planning and Execution
- Understanding of material requirements planning (MRP)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Knowledge of ISO Standards and Energy management systems
