Engineer - Sales

Location : Barbil

Work Arrangement : Onsite

Responsibilities

- Business Development: Generate business for Original Equipment and integrated solutions related to process improvement within the mineral processing equipment sector in the Odisha region.
- Customer Engagement: Conduct regular visits and presentations to customers in the Keonjhar/Barbil area, managing relationships at all levels to understand and meet their requirements effectively.
- Sales & Marketing: Prepare techno-commercial proposals, handle discussions, and close orders to achieve agreed business objectives and company KPIs.
- Coordination & Reporting: Collaborate with regional, SIOP, engineering, and operations teams; provide weekly updates on new business opportunities, customer feedback, and strategies to address customer pain points.
- Daily Role: The successful candidate will spend their days engaging with customers, preparing proposals, coordinating internally, and traveling extensively (approximately 15-20 days per month) within the territory.
- Success Metrics: Success will be measured by meeting or exceeding sales targets, building robust customer relationships, and contributing to the growth of Weir s business in the region.
- Travel Requirements:



Extensive field travel within Odisha territory, primarily around Keonjhar and Barbil.

What you ll bring

Must-haves:

- Diploma / Bachelor s degree in Mineral Processing Engineering or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in mineral processing or related industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and internal teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned region.
- Familiarity with the Keonjhar/Barbil region and local mining ecosystem.

Nice-to-haves:

- Exposure to mineral processing plants or mining operations in the Odisha mining belt.
- Prior technical sales experience or customer-facing roles.
- Diploma holders with relevant skills and knowledge may also be considered.
