We’re looking for a creative YouTube writer to work on a long-form content project for a leading
consumer brand.

The project explores everyday India through stories, observations, data and culture. The
subjects may often look ordinary on the surface, but the goal is to uncover the more interesting
story underneath.

We’re looking for someone who can take a seemingly normal topic and make you think:

“Wait… I never looked at it this way.”

What you’ll be doing

Writing long-form YouTube scripts from research, briefs and creative ideas

Turning everyday subjects into engaging, entertaining stories

Finding the larger human, cultural, behavioural or business insight within a simple topic

Creating strong hooks, narrative structures and payoffs that work for YouTube

Conducting research and turning data and information into storytelling, rather than simply
presenting facts

Finding creative ways to tell a story while working within brand guidelines, factual requirements
and multiple layers of approval

Making branded content feel like good content first, rather than advertising

Collaborating closely with the creative and production team through ideation, drafts and
revisions

The kind of writer we’re looking for

You should be able to take something as ordinary as a product people buy, a habit people have, a
trend people are following or something sitting in an Indian household and find a story worth
telling about it.

You should be naturally curious.

You should enjoy asking why.

And most importantly, you should be able to find a creative angle even when the subject itself
doesn’t sound particularly exciting.





This role is not just about writing well. It’s about thinking well.

Must have

Previous experience writing long-form YouTube scripts

Strong understanding of YouTube storytelling and audience retention

Excellent research and fact-checking skills

Ability to structure a story rather than simply compile information

Strong conversational writing style

Ability to write in English/Hinglish depending on the requirement

Comfort working with feedback, revisions and brand constraints

A portfolio that demonstrates strong storytelling

Bonus points if you

Have worked on documentary, explainer, culture, business or storytelling-led YouTube content

Have experience with branded content

Have worked with consumer brands

Have a strong understanding of Indian culture, consumers and internet behaviour

Regularly watch and analyse good YouTube content

Can come up with engaging story ideas from seemingly mundane subjects

Who should apply?

Experience : 2–5 years preferred, but exceptional writers with strong work samples are welcome to
apply.
