Job Summary:
Responsible for fabrication, assembly, alignment, and erection of structural blocks and components as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Carry out fabrication and assembly of steel blocks as per drawings and work instructions.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, dimensions, and welding symbols.
- Perform marking, cutting, fitting, grinding, and alignment of plates and structural members.
- Assemble and fit-up block components before welding.
- Check dimensions, alignment, levels, gaps, and tolerances during fabrication.
- Coordinate with welders, supervisors, QC inspectors, and other production teams.
- Use measuring and fabrication tools safely and correctly.
- Identify and rectify distortion, misalignment, and fabrication defects.
- Follow approved welding, fabrication, and quality procedures.
- Ensure proper handling, positioning, and movement of blocks using lifting equipment.
- Maintain valuable housekeeping and follow all safety requirements.




- Complete assigned fabrication work within the production schedule.

Qualification & Experience:

- ITI / Vocational qualification in Fitter, Welder, Fabrication, or related trade.
- 2–5 years of experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, heavy fabrication, or structural steel fabrication.
- Experience in ship block fabrication will be an added advantage.

Required Skills:

- Good knowledge of steel fabrication and fit-up.
- Ability to read fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of welding processes and welding symbols.
- Familiarity with measuring tools such as measuring tape, steel rule, spirit level, and vernier caliper.
- Knowledge of safe working practices, PPE, and lifting operations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and meet production targets.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
