Assistant Manager CCTV Projects

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager CCTV Projects with strong technical and project execution knowledge in CCTV system designing, BOQ and quotation preparation, installation, configuration, commissioning, troubleshooting, project coordination, team handling, and documentation.

The candidate will be responsible for handling CCTV projects from site survey and system design through estimation, execution, testing, commissioning, documentation, and final handover.

Key Responsibilities

1. CCTV Designing & Planning

- Design CCTV surveillance systems based on site requirements, client specifications, and project scope.
- Conduct site surveys and understand project requirements.
- Prepare CCTV layouts, camera placement plans, and coverage designs.
- Select appropriate camera types, lenses, resolutions, viewing angles, and mounting arrangements.
- Design CCTV network architecture including NVR/DVR, PoE switches, racks, network connectivity, and storage.
- Calculate camera coverage, cable requirements, storage capacity, and equipment requirements.
- Review and modify designs based on site conditions and client requirements.
- Prepare as-built CCTV drawings after project completion.
- Coordinate with the installation team to ensure execution matches the approved CCTV design.

2. BOQ, Estimation & Quotation

- Prepare detailed CCTV BOQs, material estimates, and technical specifications.
- Calculate quantities for cameras, NVR/DVRs, storage, PoE switches, cables, racks, power supplies, connectors, and other accessories.
- Prepare technical and commercial quotations based on project requirements.
- Select suitable CCTV products and brands according to project specifications and budget.
- Review BOQs and quotations for accuracy before submission.
- Handle revisions and additional requirements received from clients.

3. Installation & Commissioning

- Supervise and coordinate CCTV installation activities at project sites.
- Ensure proper installation of cameras, NVR/DVRs, switches, racks, cabling, and accessories.
- Configure cameras,



NVR/DVRs, recording systems, remote monitoring, and network devices.
- Conduct testing and commissioning of complete CCTV systems.
- Ensure camera positioning and coverage are as per the approved design.
- Coordinate with technicians and site teams to complete project activities within the required timelines.

4. CCTV Troubleshooting & Technical Support

- Troubleshoot issues related to CCTV cameras, NVR/DVRs, PoE switches, networking, cabling, power supply, storage, and connectivity.
- Diagnose camera connectivity, recording, display, and network-related issues.
- Resolve technical issues during installation, commissioning, and post-installation.
- Provide technical guidance to CCTV technicians and installation teams.
- Ensure systems are fully operational before project handover.

5. Project Coordination & Team Handling

- Plan and monitor CCTV projects from site survey to final handover.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, technicians, procurement teams, and internal departments.
- Supervise CCTV technicians and installation teams.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion.
- Track material requirements and coordinate with the procurement team.
- Handle site-level technical issues and provide appropriate solutions.
- Ensure work is completed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

6. Project Documentation

- Maintain complete and accurate CCTV project documentation.
- Prepare and maintain:
- CCTV BOQs and material schedules
- CCTV layouts and camera placement drawings
- Technical submittals and product datasheets
- Site survey reports
- Installation and progress reports
- Testing & commissioning reports
- Camera schedules
- IP address and network details
- Equipment details and configuration records
- Material delivery and installation records




- Client approval and inspection documents
- As-built drawings
- Project completion and handover documents

- Ensure all project documents are properly updated and submitted within timelines.
- Maintain records of project changes, revisions, and additional requirements.
- Ensure documentation is complete before final project handover.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of CCTV system designing and implementation.
- Good experience in CCTV layout and camera placement design.
- Experience in BOQ preparation, estimation, and quotation preparation.
- Strong knowledge of IP CCTV, Analog CCTV, NVR, DVR, PoE switches, storage, and networking.
- Hands-on experience in CCTV installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning.
- Good knowledge of IP addressing, LAN networking, switches, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and understand CCTV drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of CCTV brands, equipment, accessories, and their technical specifications.
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of project documentation and handover procedures.

Software / Documentation Skills

- MS Excel for BOQ, estimation, material tracking, and project reports.
- MS Word for project documentation and reports.
- AutoCAD or similar software for CCTV layouts and drawings is preferred.
- Ability to prepare professional technical documentation and client submissions.

Qualification & Experience

- Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Electronics, Electrical, IT, Networking, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in CCTV / ELV / Security Systems projects preferred.
- Candidates with strong hands-on experience in CCTV designing, project execution, quotation, troubleshooting, and documentation will be preferred.
