Role & responsibilities :

Principal Accountabilities

(A) Operational

- Administer first-aid treatment and life-support care to sick or injured persons.
- Adherence to organ Transplant protocols.
- Adherence to Infection Control Protocols.
- Assess nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures.
- Observe, record, and report to physician the patient's condition or injury, the treatment provided, and reactions to drugs and treatment.
- Perform emergency diagnostic and treatment procedures, such as stomach suction, airway management and heart monitoring.
- Administer drugs, orally or by injection, and perform intravenous procedures under a physician's direction.
- Coordinate work with other emergency medical team members when required.
- To provide pre and post operative care to BMT Transplant cases.
- Follows strict Barrier and Reverse barrier Nursing Techniques




- To Monitor the sign of Organ rejection and give Health teaching
- To plan & organize the instruments and consumables required for various surgeries.
- To maintain strict aseptic technique during the surgical procedures.
- To ensure all the registers are maintained in the ward.
- To handle all the medical emergencies confidently.
- Inserting drips and fluids and using different equipment, including ventilators, to assist breathing;
- Checking the efficiency of equipment to maintain a state of operational readiness.

To participate in all unit and in-service education.

- To adhere to the critical care policies and protocols.
- Patient and Family Education.
- Participate in Hospital Quality Improvement programme.
