ROLE OVERVIEW

Socommerz Technologies is seeking a Senior Power BI and ETL Specialist to join our delivery team, embedded with our end client SymphonyAI. In this role you will own enterprise analytics and data engineering for SymphonyAI's Retail SCM managed-services platform, delivering mission-critical KPI dashboards and operational intelligence for tier-1 grocery retailers across the USA.

You will work at the intersection of BI development, data engineering, and customer-facing reporting - translating raw operational data into executive-grade visibility that drives proactive service management and measurable business outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

BI and Dashboard Development
Design, develop, and maintain Power BI solutions for internal teams and customer-facing reporting.
Own executive and operational KPI dashboards covering service monitoring, KPI tracking, trend analysis, and customer visibility.
Deliver daily operational insights supporting proactive service management for tier-1 grocery accounts in the USA.
Develop automated reporting that reduces manual effort and provides near-real-time operational visibility.

Data Engineering
Collect, transform, and integrate operational data into the enterprise Data Warehouse.
Build and maintain ETL processes, data models, and SQL transformations for accurate, high-performance reporting.
Integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring consistency, quality, and governance.
Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, enforcing data integrity standards across pipelines.





License Compliance Reporting
Develop and maintain license-utilization and compliance dashboards for management and customer stakeholders.
Track platform usage against contracted entitlements; surface risks and trends proactively.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS

All criteria below are non-negotiable. Applications not meeting these thresholds will not be considered.

1. Enterprise Retail Systems Experience (5+ Years)
Minimum 5 years of enterprise retail systems experience, with 4+ years on a market-established, referenceable SCM solution in managed-services mode.
Demonstrated understanding of retail operations, supply chain flows, and the data landscape underpinning them.
2. Power BI Expertise (Expert Level)
Expert-level Power BI development - data models, DAX measures, calculated columns, and row-level security.
Experience designing both internal operational dashboards and customer-facing BI solutions.
Robust report UX sensibility; ability to translate business requirements into actionable visual output.
3. Data Warehouse and ETL Development
Hands-on experience architecting or contributing to Data Warehouse solutions supporting enterprise reporting.
ETL pipeline development - extraction, transformation, loading, scheduling, and error handling.
Strong data modeling skills; fact/dimension schema design, slowly changing dimensions, and normalization.

Advanced SQL
Advanced SQL proficiency over large operational and business datasets.
Experience with query performance optimization, indexing strategies, and execution plan analysis.
Data validation and reconciliation across source systems and the reporting layer.
5. License Compliance and KPI Ownership
Platform license-compliance reporting experience (Symphony GOLD or equivalent enterprise platform).
Proven ownership of business-critical KPI dashboards for tier-1 international retail accounts.
6. Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
Fluent English with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Comfortable engaging directly with external customer stakeholders on reporting deliverables and data queries.
Time-zone flexibility including availability during Asia business hours for client engagement.
