Senior Associate / Specialist, Retirement Services (Money-In & Money-Out)

- Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Retirement Services professional with 3+ years of experience in Defined Contribution/Retirement Services operations. The candidate should have hands-on experience in Money-In, Money-Out, and Corrections for different retirement plans.
Key Responsibilities

- Process contributions, rollovers, transfers, contract exchanges, TOA and internal transfers.
- Handle retirement plan loans, payments, payoffs, rejects and related documentation.
- Process participant and beneficiary distributions, including withdrawals, hardships, RMDs, QDROs and rollovers.
- Handle stop payments, reissues, corrective distributions and aged checks.
- Apply tax rules for Pre-Tax, Roth and After-Tax transactions.
- Correct and reissue 1099-R forms when required.
- Apply vesting, penalties, surrender charges and eligibility rules.




- Review and resolve transaction exceptions accurately.
- Follow IRS and ERISA guidelines and individual plan provisions.
- Work with retirement platforms and workflow systems.
- Maintain high accuracy while handling high-volume transactions.
- Required Knowledge

- Retirement plans: 401(k), 403(b), 457, IRA, LOSAP and governmental/top-hat plans.
- Knowledge of taxability, penalties, RMDs, hardships, QDRO and ERISA guidelines.
- Ability to understand plan provisions and apply IRS rules correctly.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and exception-handling skills.
- Valuable understanding of financial documents and regulatory requirements.
- Preferred Experience

- 3+ years of experience in Retirement Services / Defined Contribution operations.
- Experience in participant transactions, distributions, rollovers, loans and tax corrections.
- Experience with BPO, recordkeeping or retirement administration processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
