- Thind Eye Hospital is hiring a registered Pharmacist to ensure secure, accurate and compliant dispensing of medicines and ophthalmic products
- The pharmacist will review prescriptions for completeness and legibility, verify patient identity, medicine name, strength, dosage, route, frequency and duration and seek clarification from the prescriber whenever required
- They will dispense only authorised medicines, label products correctly and provide clear counselling on eye-drop technique, storage, timing, duration, precautions and adherence
- The role includes maintaining purchase, receipt, sale, return and stock records; monitoring batch numbers, expiry dates and near-expiry items; applying FEFO principles; and conducting periodic physical stock reconciliation
- The pharmacist must maintain required storage conditions, temperature logs and cold-chain records and promptly report excursions or damaged stock
- Responsibilities also include controlled access to medicines, segregation of expired or recalled products,



management of look-alike/sound-alike and high-alert medicines and support for product recall procedures
- The candidate will coordinate with doctors, nursing, OT, purchase, accounts and quality teams and assist with pharmacy audits, formulary implementation, adverse-drug-reaction reporting and medication-safety initiatives
- Compliance with the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, licence conditions, hospital policies and applicable NABH standards is essential
- Candidates must maintain a valid registration, professional ethics, patient confidentiality and accurate billing
- Good communication in Punjabi, Hindi and basic English, computer proficiency and attention to detail are required
- Previous experience with hospital pharmacy software and ophthalmic medicines will be preferred
- The ideal candidate is responsible, vigilant and patient-focused, with the ability to manage busy dispensing periods without compromising accuracy or safety
