Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Okta IAM / Access Governance Engineer with 6–9 years of IT Security and Identity & Access Management (IAM) experience . The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Okta Workflows, Okta Identity Governance (OIG), Okta implementations and migrations , along with expertise in authentication, authorization, identity lifecycle management, and access governance.

The candidate will be responsible for enhancing existing Okta workflows, particularly around user onboarding, job/role changes, and offboarding , while supporting scalable identity governance and access management solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Design, implement, configure, and support Okta Identity and Access Management solutions .
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Okta Workflows .
- Work extensively with Okta Identity Governance (OIG) / Access Governance capabilities.
- Enhance existing identity lifecycle workflows covering:
- Onboarding / Joiner
- Job or Role Changes / Mover
- Offboarding / Leaver
- Design and implement automated identity provisioning and deprovisioning processes.
- Participate in Okta implementation and migration projects .
- Integrate enterprise applications with Okta using SAML 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), OAuth 2.0, WS-Federation and REST APIs .
- Implement authentication and authorization solutions, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) .
- Integrate Okta with enterprise platforms and directories such as Active Directory, LDAP and ServiceNow .




- Work with Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) models.
- Develop and integrate RESTful web services utilizing JSON and XML .
- Troubleshoot authentication, authorization, provisioning, and application integration issues.
- Collaborate with security, application, infrastructure, and business teams to implement IAM requirements.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

1. 6–9 years of IT Security experience , with strong expertise in Identity and Access Management.
2. Hands-on implementation experience with a minimum of 3 Okta-based projects .
3. Strong Okta implementation and migration experience .
4. Hands-on experience with:

- Okta Workflows
- Okta Identity Governance (OIG)
- Access Governance

1. Strong knowledge of IAM concepts and capabilities across:

- Identity Management
- Authentication
- Authorization
- Identity Governance
- Identity Lifecycle Management

1. Robust experience enhancing onboarding, job/role change, and offboarding workflows .
2. In-depth understanding and implementation experience with:

- SAML 2.0
- OpenID Connect (OIDC)
- OAuth 2.0
- Authentication and authorization flows

1. Familiarity with the following technologies:

- Okta
- MFA
- REST APIs
- Active Directory
- LDAP
- ServiceNow
- WS-Federation
- RBAC
- ABAC

1. Experience developing and integrating RESTful web services using JSON and XML .
2. Good exposure to Java/J2EE or other scripting/programming languages used for IAM integrations and automation.
3. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex IAM and authentication issues.
4. Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
