We’re looking for a creative short-form writer to work on a content project for a leading consumer

brand.

The work will primarily involve comedy, sketches and relatable everyday situations, but we’re

looking for someone with a strong overall understanding of writing and storytelling.

Someone who can write a funny sketch one day, an observational piece the next, and find an

interesting way to tell a simple story in 30 seconds.

The ability to make people laugh is important.

But good writing comes first.

What you’ll be doing

- Writing short-form scripts for Reels, Shorts and other social platforms

- Developing comedy sketches, creative concepts and relatable situations

- Finding interesting ways to tell stories within 15–60 seconds

- Writing sharp setups, punches, callbacks and satisfying endings

- Creating strong premises that hook the viewer quickly

- Writing natural, conversational and performable dialogue

- Exploring different tones, from comedy and observation to emotion, relatability and storytelling

- Finding creative ways to integrate brand requirements without compromising the core idea

- Collaborating with the creative and production team through ideation, writing and revisions

The kind of writer we’re looking for

You have a strong sense of comedy, but you’re not only a comedy writer.

You understand why a joke works, when a punch should land, how to build an escalation and how to end a scene.

You also understand character, conflict, emotion, observation and story.

You can take a simple situation and find the interesting angle.

You can make a viewer laugh, but you can also make them relate, feel something or simply think,

“That is so true.”

And most importantly, you know how to tell a story fast.

Because when you only have 30 seconds,



every line, beat and reaction has to earn its place.

Must have

- Previous experience writing short-form video content

- Strong overall writing and storytelling skills

- Strong understanding of comedy, sketches and social media storytelling

- A sharp sense of punches, timing, pacing and payoff

- Ability to write concise, engaging and natural dialogue

- Ability to develop stories and ideas that work within 15–60 seconds

- Strong command of conversational English/Hinglish

- Ability to write across different tones and formats

- Comfort with feedback, rewrites and collaborative writing

- A portfolio that demonstrates solid short-form writing

Bonus points if you

- Have written comedy for Reels, Shorts or digital creators

- Have written sketches, branded content or social campaigns

- Have experience writing for actors and performers

- Understand visual storytelling and physical comedy

- Regularly consume and analyse short-form content

- Can generate multiple creative ideas from a single brief

- Know how to make a brand requirement feel like part of the story rather than an interruption

Who should apply?

Experience: 1–4 years preferred, but exceptional writers with strong work samples are welcome to

apply.
