Role Purpose:

- Manage, reconcile and provide senior oversight of Derivatives invoices according to process and procedure, acting as escalation point for complex or disputed items
- Meet and safeguard Service Level Agreement targets across the team's book of work
- Work on SmartStream's Transactions, Fees Cost and Invoice Management solution ensuring all service level agreements are met

Typical Work Activities include:

- Use the SmartStream solution to match client data and highlight any exceptions, including resolution of complex and aged exceptions escalated by junior analysts
- Raising data exceptions and owning the investigation process through to completion, driving root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence
- Prioritising work across own and team deliverables to ensure all SLAs are adhered to
- Keeping the client fully informed of progress and liaising with brokers & banks to close any issues; leading client calls and managing senior stakeholder communication
- Work with multiple teams to provide ideas and input into improving the SmartStream solution, including requirements definition, UAT and process re-engineering
- Mentor, review and quality-check the work of junior analysts; support onboarding and knowledge transfer
- Contribute to client onboarding, new business implementation and continuous improvement initiatives

Key Skills:

- Minimum 5 to 8 years of Derivatives Product knowledge with experience in Listed or OTC Brokerage
- Strong knowledge of Investment Banking products, predominantly Derivatives
- Detailed understanding of the Trade Lifecycle
- Advanced knowledge of Excel




- Analytical problem solving skills, with the ability to resolve ambiguous and escalated issues independently
- Strong numeracy skills
- Proven experience of working in an SLA-driven environment, including SLA ownership and reporting
- Substantial working experience in a data reconciliation or data matching role
- 5+ years of experience working in the Banking/Finance industry
- Experience of working in a Software House or Development centre is good to have
- Familiarity with project methodology is good to have
- Experience coaching or supervising junior team members

Desirable Skills:

- Minimum 5 years of Derivatives Product knowledge with experience in Listed or OTC Brokerage

- Comfortable using AI tools to automate repetitive analysis and exception triage, with sound judgement on when output must be independently validated before client use

Knowledge of Clearing, Settlement (SWIFT interpretation – MT Series messages) and Custody domain knowledge will be preferred.

Knowledge of BC&E; (Brokerage, Clearing, and Exchange) expense categories of asset classes like Equities, Commission Sharing Agreements, Custody, Clearing, Settlement of multi-asset classes, global securities market structure, and accounting. Data analytical skills are a must.

Demonstrable use of AI tools in a working environment — whether for data analysis, documentation, client correspondence, or process automation — will be viewed favourably and carries additional weightage in the selection process. Equally valued is a transparent appetite to learn, adopt and build on these tools as they become embedded in the way the team works.
