Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for analyzing and understanding the assigned Customer requirements specification (CRS) and change requests
Communicating the Customer requirements to the various stakeholders (software development teams, program management teams, test/validation teams) effectively to solicit feasibility impact in a timely manner
Responsible for interfacing with the customer for clarification of all assigned features and approval from the customer for any deviations from required features as defined in the customer specification
Responsible for requesting the required resources from their domain necessary to implement the promised scope
Responsible for planning the work packages for the assigned resources and communicating the plan to stakeholders
Propose SW implementation solutions and provide SW architectural guidance to technical teams
Commits what stories will be completed by the resources, when the stories will be completed, who works on each story and task
Leads the activity of grooming the requirements into the Technical Requirements Specification (TRS). This task involves coordinating discussion and commitment with various teams to ensure correct description and acceptance criteria of assigned features.
Responsible for linking the CRS entries to the TRS to ensure 100% CRS coverage
Drives the overall development, implementation, and integration of requirements by coordinating with all impacted software teams.
Acts a face to the customer from a technical standpoint representing the engineering teams and CPM for their domain




As part of being responsible for delivering a completed, working feature, the Functional Owner will also play a role in managing and facilitating the resolution of defects for their domain by clarifying requirements, coordinating interdomain discussion, and providing direction as set by program managers
Look for ways to improve efficiency and quality within their domains and the organization by re-engineering processes, developing helpful tools, sharing knowledge or other beneficial practices.
Subject Matter Expert in Technical Domain

Basic Qualifications:.
PhD degree in Engineering or related field and 4 years of experience in corporate or academic research; alternatively, Master's Degree in above mentioned fields and 8 years of experience in research and development or Bachelor's Degree and 12 years' experience
Expert in at least one of the following fields: Infotainment, mobile, consumer electronics
Exceptional reputation as an innovator based on having created forward looking research, projects, and award winning publications
Proven technical leadership
Experience working in the technology industry or automotive industry
Experience with the use of rapid prototyping tools for software and hardware, electronics, and mechanical design for consumer electronics and future device platforms
Experience with non-traditional input and output technologies, such as speech, gesture, touch, haptics, etc.
Ability to communicate advanced and complex concepts and ideas persuasively and concisely to all levels of the business
Outstanding communication abilities with specific skills in presenting, explaining, convincing, justifying, and reporting

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leading a technical team
Experience in a project/program management type role
