Job Title: Data Security Consultant / Lead (D2 Band)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Security Professional to drive data protection initiatives, implement security controls, and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing enterprise data security solutions to protect sensitive information across on-premises and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement Data Security and Data Protection solutions.
- Manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies across endpoints, email, cloud, and network environments.
- Implement and administer data classification and data discovery solutions.
- Monitor and investigate data security incidents and recommend remediation measures.
- Conduct security assessments, risk analysis, and gap analysis for data protection controls.
- Work closely with infrastructure, cloud, application, and compliance teams to strengthen data security posture.
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures related to data protection.
- Support audits, regulatory compliance, and customer security requirements.




- Provide guidance on encryption, key management, data retention, and secure data handling practices.
- Participate in security architecture reviews and project implementations.

Required Skills

- Robust knowledge of Data Security and Data Protection concepts.
- Experience with DLP solutions such as Microsoft Purview, Symantec DLP, Forcepoint DLP, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of data classification, encryption, Information Rights Management (IRM), and key management.
- Experience securing cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Understanding of security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.
- Experience with SIEM/SOC operations and incident response processes.
- Knowledge of identity and access management concepts.

Experience

- 6-10 years of overall IT experience.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in Data Security and Data Protection technologies.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related field.

- Microsoft Security Certifications (SC-400, SC-100, AZ-500)
- CISSP
- CISM
- CCSP
- ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor
