Position description:
We are looking for an experienced TPF / zTPF Developer with strong expertise in Transaction Processing Facility (TPF) development, preferably within the airline or aviation domain. The candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, maintaining, and supporting high-performance transaction processing applications that support critical airline business operations.

The role prioritizes deep TPF / zTPF development experience over a broad Java and AWS technology stack. Experience integrating TPF environments with modern platforms, including APIs, Java services, Kafka, and cloud-based systems, will be an added advantage.

The candidate should also demonstrate familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, such as Kiro or similar solutions,



to improve development productivity, code analysis, and engineering efficiency.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, debug, and troubleshoot TPF-based applications.
Work on airline reservation, passenger processing, ticketing, flight operations, or other aviation-related systems, where applicable.
Perform impact analysis and implement application enhancements and fixes.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely technical support.
Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and other engineering teams.
Develop and maintain integrations between TPF environments and modern technology platforms.
Support API-based integrations with Java services, Kafka, and other enterprise systems.
Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and software quality improvement initiatives.
Follow development standards, testing practices, and change management processes.
Explore and leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Kiro or similar tools to improve coding, debugging, documentation, and developer productivity.
Contribute to modernization initiatives involving legacy TPF systems and contemporary application platforms.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Must have skills:
Robust hands-on experience in TPF / zTPF development.
In-depth knowledge of TPF application development, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Experience with TPF programming languages and tools relevant to the project, such as Java




Strong understanding of transaction processing and high-volume, high-performance systems.
Experience in application debugging, issue resolution, and production support.
Ability to analyze complex technical problems and deliver reliable solutions.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Kiro, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI-enabled engineering tools.
