Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Regional Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations of a portfolio of hotels across the United States. This role requires strong hands-on accounting expertise, leadership capability, client-facing communication skills, and the ability to work effectively during overlapping U.S. Eastern Time hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage 5-8 hotel portfolios and monthly financial close

• Review P&L;, Balance Sheet, cash flow, and bank reconciliations

• Participate in owner and GM review calls alongside the VP of Operations, providing financial detail,

context,



and analysis as needed

• Serve as secondary point of contact for property GMs on day-to-day financial questions and reporting

matters, escalating to VP of Operations on owner-facing or sensitive matters

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in coordination with GMs and VP of Operations

• Lead annual budgets, forecasts, and owner reporting packages

• Own daily, monthly, and annual financial close across all properties using accounting core system

• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and franchise reporting requirements

• Support audits, tax filings, insurance, and lender reporting

• Create and enforce accounting SOPs and internal controls

• Mentor Assistant Controllers, Senior Accountants, and Staff Accountants

• Coordinate transitions for new hotel acquisitions and openings

• Assist with cash management and capital project tracking

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hospitality accounting experience

• Prior Controller, Director of Finance, or similar experience (REQUIRED)

• Strong understanding of hotel financial reporting

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• CA, CPA, CMA, MBA Finance, or equivalent preferred
