This role will help build the customer-facing surfaces that define the Bluehost experience for millions of small businesses. We're scaling fast and rebuilding as we go: new architectural patterns, AI-native features, and a bar for craft that keeps rising. This is a role for a builder who owns outcomes end-to-end, moves ideas from concept to production in days rather than sprints, and wants to help redefine how our front-end systems get built and shipped.

What You'll Do & How You'll Make Your Mark

- Define and drive the technical vision, architecture, and long-term roadmap forfrontendsystems across the platform.

- Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance web applications that serve millions of users.

- Conduct architecture reviews, design discussions, and technical deep dives to ensure engineering excellence.

- Mentor senior engineers and raise the overall engineering bar through coaching and technical leadership.

- Own critical production systems and drive operational excellence, observability, security, and reliability.

- Partner with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and senior leadership to align technical strategy with business goals.

- Evaluate emerging technologies andidentifyopportunities to improve developer productivity and product quality.

- Champion frontend best practices including performance optimization, accessibility, design systems, and reusablecomponentarchitecture.

- Drive cross-team initiatives that reduce tech debt, improve CI/CD pipelines, and elevate code quality standards.

- Influence engineering culture by contributing to hiring, onboarding, andestablishingtechnical standards across the organization.

- Represent the engineering team in cross-functional planning, sprint reviews, and executive stakeholder discussions.

Who You Are & What You'll Need to Succeed

- Bachelor's orMaster's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

- 12+ years of hands-on experience in frontend/full-stack development, with at least2years in a principal, staff,



or equivalent technical leadership role.

- Deep understanding of software design principles, architecture patterns, performance optimization, and system reliability.

- Proventrack recordof leading large-scale technical initiatives frominceptionthrough delivery.

- Robust communicationskills with the ability to influence senior technical and business stakeholders.

- Demonstrated ability to mentor and grow engineers at multiple levels of seniority.

- Curiosity and willingness to learn and adopt emerging technologies, especially AI-drivenapplicationsand developer tooling.

- Excellent judgment in making trade-offs between short-term delivery and long-term technical health.

- Strong senseof ownership, accountability, and a bias for action in ambiguous situations.

- Passion for building intuitive, user-friendly digital experiences atscale.

Tech Knowledge Required

- Expert-levelproficiencyin HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

- Deep mastery of React including Hooks, Context API,componentlifecycle, state management, routing, Server Components, and reusablecomponentarchitecture.

- Strong experience with state management and data-fetching libraries such asZustand,TanStackQuery, andTanStackRouter.

- Hands-on experience designing andmaintainingfrontend build systems using Webpack, Vite,Turborepo, or similar tooling.

- Deepexpertisein mobile-first web development,cross-browser compatibility

- Strong understanding of REST APIs,GraphQL, and asynchronous programming patterns.

- Proficiencywith Git-based workflows, branching strategies, and code review processes at scale.

- Extensive experience with testing strategies including unit, integration, and E2E testing using Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright integrated with CI/CD for continuous quality assurance.

- Experience using and evaluating AI-powered developer tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar AI coding assistants to accelerate development workflows.





- Expertise inweb performance optimization (Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse), accessibility standards (WCAG), and observability (logging, tracing, alerting).

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent) and Agile/Scrum practices.

- Familiarity with micro-frontend architectures,Module Federation, and design systems.

- Exposure to backend technologies (Node.js, Python) and cloud platforms (OCI) is a strong plus.
