About Position:

We are seeking an experienced IBM DB2 Database Administrator with hands-on exposure to IBM Maximo environments to support enterprise asset management platforms and mission-critical database operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering, monitoring, optimizing, and securing IBM DB2 databases while ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability across production and non-production environments. This role requires expertise in database administration, SQL performance tuning, backup and recovery, data migration, and troubleshooting complex database and integration issues. The candidate should be capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and supporting business-critical activities, including maintenance and release activities during flexible working hours when required.

What You'll Do:

- Administer, monitor, maintain, and optimize IBM DB2 databases supporting IBM Maximo applications.
- Ensure database availability, reliability, capacity planning, and performance across environments.
- Perform SQL query optimization, indexing strategies, execution plan analysis, and performance tuning activities.
- Lead data migration, data import/export, archiving, and data quality improvement initiatives.
- Manage database backup, restore, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production database issues, performance bottlenecks, and integration failures.
- Support ServiceNow and other third-party application integrations connected to DB2 environments.
- Configure and maintain database security, user access controls, privileges, and auditing mechanisms.
- Plan and execute database upgrades, patch installations, and environment refresh activities.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application,



and business teams to deliver stable database solutions.
- Monitor database health and proactively identify risks and improvement opportunities.
- Support development, testing, staging, and production database environments.
- Participate in release management, change management, and maintenance activities.
- Provide on-call, weekend, and after-hours support for critical incidents and planned activities when required.

Expertise You'll Bring:

- 5 to 9 years of experience in IBM DB2 Database Administration.
- Strong hands-on expertise in DB2 installation, configuration, administration, monitoring, backup, restore, and recovery.
- Practical experience supporting IBM Maximo environments and enterprise asset management applications.
- Strong SQL development skills with expertise in query optimization, indexing, execution plan analysis, and database performance tuning.
- Experience managing large-scale databases in Production, UAT, and Development environments.
- Knowledge of database security, access management, compliance, and audit controls.
- Experience with data migration, data archiving, import/export, and database maintenance activities.
- Hands-on experience implementing backup strategies, high availability solutions, and disaster recovery processes.
- Experience troubleshooting database connectivity, performance issues, and application integrations.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow-related integrations and enterprise application support environments.
- Understanding of change management,



release management, and ITIL-based operational processes.
- Exposure to enterprise monitoring, automation, and database diagnostic tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate within cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
