• Build custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch or from design mockups

• Customize and extend existing themes and plugins

• Work with page builders (Elementor, Gutenberg, etc.) and custom fields (ACF)

• Optimize WordPress sites for speed, security, SEO, and mobile responsiveness

• Handle site migrations, updates, backups, and troubleshooting

Strapi and Headless CMS Development

• Design and configure content types, APIs, roles, and permissions in Strapi

• Build and customize Strapi plugins, controllers, and services where needed

• Connect Strapi backends to front-end applications using REST or GraphQL

• Manage deployment, environment configuration, and database setup for Strapi projects

Front-End and Web Application Development

• Develop responsive, reusable UI components using React.js (or similar frameworks such as Next.js, Vue.js, or Angular)

• Build small to mid-sized web applications, including dashboards, forms, portals, and internal tools

• Integrate third-party APIs and services

• Manage application state and data fetching efficiently

• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility standards

General Engineering

• Write clean, well-documented, testable code

• Use Git for version control and take part in code reviews

• Debug and resolve technical issues quickly

• Estimate tasks, communicate progress, and flag risks early

• Contribute ideas to improve our processes, tools, and code quality.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• [2-4]+ years of professional web development experience





• Solid proficiency in PHP and WordPress development (themes, plugins, hooks, REST API)

• Hands-on experience with Strapi or another headless CMS

• Solid experience with JavaScript (ES6+) and React.js or a comparable framework

• Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design (Flexbox, Grid, Tailwind, or SASS)

• Experience working with REST APIs; GraphQL is a plus

• Working knowledge of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB

• Familiarity with Git and collaborative workflows

• Ability to work from design files (Figma, Adobe XD) and deliver pixel-accurate results

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Good written and verbal communication in English

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with Next.js, Node.js, or Express

• TypeScript

• Experience with hosting and deployment (AWS, DigitalOcean, Vercel, Netlify, cPanel, Docker)

• CI/CD pipelines

• WooCommerce or e-commerce development

• Knowledge of SEO best practices and performance tools (Lighthouse, GTmetrix)

• Website security best practices

• Experience with automated testing (Jest, Cypress, etc.)
