Role Description The Accountant role at NFPL is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Kolkata Area. The accountant will handle day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank statements. Responsibilities include preparing invoices, monitoring accounts receivable and payable, supporting payroll processing, and assisting in monthly and annual financial closing. The role will involve generating financial reports, supporting audits,



ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations, and coordinating with internal departments and external stakeholders. The accountant will also contribute to process improvements, maintain accurate documentation, and support management in budgeting and cost control activities.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in financial accounting and bookkeeping, including ledger management and bank reconciliation.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, with the ability to generate and analyze financial reports.
- Knowledge of tax regulations, compliance requirements, and statutory filings relevant to manufacturing and export operations.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant academic background such as a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA/CPA/Cost Accounting) are an advantage.
- Experience in manufacturing, export, or industrial sectors is preferred, especially familiarity with inventory and cost accounting.
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Kolkata Area and adapt to a quick-paced, quality-focused work environment.
