Job Description:

The Team Lead, Travel & Expenses will be based in Hyderabad, India. In this position, you will report to the Senior Manager, Finance.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end T&E; operations, including expense validation, payment processing, issue resolution, and employee/vendor reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with T&E; policies, SOPs, approval requirements, and financial controls.
- Review the appropriate accounting treatment and coding of T&E; transactions, including GL accounts, cost centers, departments, and projects.
- Perform/review subledger-to-GL/Trial Balance reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and month-end close activities.
- Investigate accounting discrepancies and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.
- Ensure appropriate supporting documentation and audit trail are maintained for T&E; transactions.
- Lead, coach, and develop the T&E; team while monitoring KPIs, SLAs, quality, and deadlines.

Professional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.




- 5–8 years of T&E;/AP/Finance Operations experience, including Team Lead or people-management exposure.
- Solid accounting knowledge is mandatory, including:
- Debits and credits
- T&E;/AP accounting entries
- Accruals and journal entries
- GL and Trial Balance reconciliations
- Month-end close reporting/activities
- Experience with T&E;/ERP systems; Coupa experience preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills; Power BI experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Flexibility to support US time zones/global operations.
