nThe Role
nAs our Founding AI and Backend Engineer, you’ll architect scalable systems that power our AI-driven platform, enabling 10x efficiency in freight management. From carrier selection to claims processing, you’ll build automation that transforms a 100-person job into a lean, 10-person operation. With significant equity and a explicit path to leadership, this is your chance to own the tech stack, grow a world-class team, and redefine logistics.

nKey Responsibilities

- n
- Develop agentic AI pipelines with tools like Pydantic, Langchain/LangGraph, CrewAI to automate carrier matching, scheduling, tracking, PODs, lumper/detention approvals, invoicing, and claims.n

- n
- Design and build backend systems using Node.js, Python, and React to integrate AI workflows for end-to-end freight automation.n
- Own DevOps (CI/CD, AWS/GCP/Azure, Docker/Kubernetes, monitoring) to ensure reliable,



scalable systems with >98% on-time performance.n
- Innovate on AI features like predictive analytics and anomaly detection to minimize manual oversight.n
- Collaborate on full-stack features, ensuring seamless frontend-backend-AI integration.n
- Recruit and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation.n
- Tackle ambiguous challenges, rapidly prototyping and deploying solutions.n
- Shape strategic tech decisions to align with emerging AI trends and logistics needs.n

nRequirements

- n
- 3-4 years of backend engineering experience, with 1+ year in agentic AI (e.g., autonomous agents, workflow orchestration).n
- Expertise in Node.js, Python, React, Pydantic, Langchain and DevOps tools (Terraform, Jenkins, Prometheus).n
- Proven ability to thrive independently in fast-paced, startup environments.n
- Leadership DNA: Passionate about mentoring and building teams.
