Oberon Overseas is an established overseas education consultancy with 20 years of experience in guiding students to pursue higher education opportunities across international destinations.

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Student Overseas Counsellor to join our Trivandrum branch. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of study-abroad opportunities, particularly in the UK, Sweden, Germany, and other European countries, along with excellent student counselling and conversion skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel students and parents regarding higher education opportunities abroad.
- Provide accurate guidance on universities, courses, eligibility criteria, tuition fees, scholarships, intakes, and career opportunities.
- Handle student counselling for destinations including:
- UK
- Germany
- Sweden
- Finland
- France
- Ireland
- Netherlands
- Denmark
- Italy
- Other European study destinations
- Assess students' academic profiles, career goals, budgets, and preferred destinations.
- Recommend suitable universities and courses based on the student's profile.
- Guide students through the complete admission process from initial counselling to offer letter and visa stage.
- Stay updated on changes in university admissions, visa requirements, intake deadlines, and study-abroad regulations.
- Follow up with prospective students and maintain regular communication throughout the application process.
- Coordinate with university representatives, internal application teams, and visa processing teams.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions, applications, and follow-ups.
- Achieve individual and branch-level counselling and admission targets.
- Conduct seminars, webinars,



and student counselling sessions when required.
- Support junior counsellors by sharing destination knowledge and counselling best practices.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and university partners.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in any relevant field.
- 3+ years of experience in overseas education counselling preferred.
- Strong knowledge of UK, Germany, Sweden, and European education systems.
- Good understanding of university admissions and international student visa processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong counselling, negotiation, and student-handling abilities.
- Ability to understand student profiles and provide appropriate course/university recommendations.
- Target-oriented with strong follow-up and conversion skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Malayalam is an advantage.

- Experience handling student applications from counselling through admission/visa stages.
