JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Earthing, Bonding & Stray Current Mitigation Expert

Educational Qualification & Experience:

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

- B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of overall qualified experience in the relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years of specific experience in DC Metro projects, particularly in Traction systems.
- Demonstrated experience in earthing, bonding, stray current control/mitigation, and DC traction power systems.
- Experience in metro rail, railway, or similar urban rail transportation projects will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide expert technical guidance on earthing, bonding, and stray current mitigation systems for DC Metro Traction installations.
- Review and verify earthing and bonding designs, calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical submissions.
- Review the integration of traction power systems with the overall project earthing and bonding network.
- Develop and review strategies for stray current collection, drainage, monitoring, and mitigation.
- Assess potential stray current paths and recommend appropriate mitigation measures to minimize corrosion and interference with metallic structures and utility systems.
- Review the design and installation of traction return circuits, running rail bonding, cross-bonding, negative return systems, and associated equipment.
- Ensure proper electrical continuity and bonding of metallic structures, equipment, track components, stations, depots, viaducts, tunnels, and other relevant infrastructure.
- Review contractor method statements,



Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), technical submissions, and quality documentation related to earthing, bonding, and stray current systems.
- Supervise and provide technical guidance during installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Review test procedures and results for earth resistance, bonding continuity, insulation, rail-to-earth voltage, stray current, and related measurements.
- Identify deficiencies, non-conformities, and potential safety or performance risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Traction, Signalling, Telecom, Civil, Track, MEP, and other engineering disciplines to ensure proper system integration.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolution of earthing, bonding, and stray current-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with applicable IEC, EN, CENELEC, and other relevant international/national standards, as specified by the project.
- Participate in technical reviews, design coordination meetings, inspections, audits, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Review as-built documentation and ensure that final earthing, bonding, and stray current mitigation records accurately reflect the installed systems.
- Provide technical advice to the Project Manager and senior management on earthing, bonding, and stray current-related matters.

Pay: ₹175,000.00 - ₹180,000.00 per month
