About the Role
Verritas Furniture is looking for a Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations at our Kolkata manufacturing unit, which runs on a workshop/craft-based production model producing sofas for leading OEM partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production across carpentry, spring/gunny belting, foaming, upholstery, and fitting stages
- Coordinate with unit department heads to track and report daily output accurately
- Ensure production quantities are recorded correctly to prevent stock discrepancies with dispatch
- Manage workforce allocation and daily attendance for the shop floor
- Enforce quality standards at each stage of sofa assembly
- Liaise with the stores/inventory team on raw material availability and consumption
- Support the transition of processes toward more standardized, trackable production practices
Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience supervising furniture, upholstery, or similar manufacturing operations
- Robust hands-on knowledge of sofa/furniture production processes (carpentry, foaming, upholstery)
- Ability to manage and coordinate with department heads and shop-floor workers
- Basic reporting and record-keeping skills (production logs, attendance)
- Working knowledge of Hindi/Bengali; English literacy preferred for reporting
Pay: Up to ₹20,000.00 per month
