An Assistant Professor teaching IT subjects like Java and Python to Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) students. Responsible for delivering technical lectures, managing practical lab sessions, evaluating student performance, and contributing to departmental administration.

Core Teaching & Technical Delivery

- Deliver Lectures: Teach foundational and advanced programming concepts in Java (OOPs, exception handling, collections) and Python (syntax, data structures, libraries).
- Conduct Practical Labs: Supervise hands-on coding sessions, help students debug code, and ensure working knowledge of integrated development environments (IDEs).
- Update Curriculum: Design and align lesson plans, lab manuals, and assignments with current industry standards and university norms.

Student Mentoring & Project Guidance

- Guide Minor Projects: Assist BCA students with semester mini-projects, application development, and coding best practices.
- Provide Academic Support: Hold regular office hours or remedial classes to clear student doubts and assist underperforming students.
- Encourage Skill Development: Promote active coding habits, participation in technical fests,



and practical problem-solving.

Assessment & Evaluation

- Set Question Papers: Draft quizzes, mid-term tests, and final semester question papers according to university guidelines.
- Grade Assignments: Evaluate theory answer sheets, practical coding exams, and project vivas with academic integrity.
- Maintain Records: Track student attendance, internal assessment marks, and overall academic progress.

Research & Administrative Duties

- Administrative Assistance: Manage departmental committee tasks, coordinate timetables, and assist with campus events or admissions.
- Professional Development: Attend faculty meetings, participate in workshops, and stay updated with emerging IT trends.
- Publish Research: Engage in scholarly research, write academic papers, and fulfill institutional targets as per UGC or university guidelines (where applicable)
