We are looking for an experienced Solar Technical Supervisior to join our team. The candidate should have knowledge of solar panel installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic electrical systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Solar Site Survey & Technical Assessment

- Conduct detailed technical site surveys for residential, commercial, institutional, and other solar installations.
- Assess roof/site conditions, available installation area, orientation, inclination, shading, electrical infrastructure,

load requirements, and cable routing.

- Analyse existing electrical systems, distribution boards, earthing arrangements, and grid connection requirements.
- Prepare technical site survey reports with measurements, photographs, observations, and recommendations.

Solar System Design & Engineering

- Design and support the implementation of On-Grid, Off-Grid, and Hybrid Solar PV systems based on site

requirements.

- Perform load assessment, energy calculations, PV capacity calculations, inverter sizing, and battery sizing.
- Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams (SLD), wiring diagrams, string configurations, cable schedules, and basic

BOQs.

- Select appropriate PV modules, inverters/PCUs, batteries, protection devices, cables, structures, and other system

components.

- Ensure system designs are technically compatible with manufacturer specifications and applicable standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Installation & Electrical Works

- Supervise and/or execute installation of solar modules, mounting structures, inverters, batteries, ACDBs, DCDBs,

isolators, protection devices, and associated equipment.

- Execute and verify DC and AC wiring, cable routing, termination, tagging, dressing, and connector installation.
- Carry out proper MC4 connector assembly, crimping, polarity verification, and string formation.
- Ensure proper installation of earthing, lightning protection, SPD, MCB/MCCB, fuses, isolators, and other electrical

protection systems.

- Ensure installation quality, workmanship, safety, and adherence to approved technical drawings.

Testing & Commissioning

- Conduct pre-commissioning inspection and verification of installed solar systems.
- Perform DC testing including polarity, string voltage, continuity, insulation resistance, and other applicable

electrical tests.

- Perform AC testing including voltage, current, frequency, phase sequence, insulation, earth continuity, and

protection checks.





- Configure and commission solar inverters, hybrid inverters, PCUs, batteries, monitoring systems, and associated

equipment.

- Verify system performance and operating parameters before customer handover.
- Prepare commissioning reports, testing records, checklists, and technical handover documentation.

Troubleshooting & Technical Support

- Diagnose and resolve faults related to PV modules, strings, inverters, batteries, AC/DC systems, protection

devices, and electrical wiring.

- Analyse inverter fault codes, low generation, string failures, battery issues, grid faults, communication failures, and

system performance problems.

- Provide technical support to 1st Power (1st Mile) partners, field technicians, customers, and internal teams.
- Conduct root-cause analysis of recurring technical failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Support remote technical diagnosis wherever possible before deployment of field teams.

Operations, Maintenance & Documentation

- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of installed solar systems.
- Inspect PV modules, structures, cables, connectors, batteries, inverters, earthing, and protection systems.
- Maintain accurate records of installation, testing, commissioning, service, maintenance, and repair activities.
- Prepare technical reports, service reports, site reports, BOQs, checklists, and customer handover documents.
- Maintain photographic and measurement-based documentation of field activities.

Partner & District Technical Support

- Provide technical support to 1st Power (1st Mile) partners, district service teams, field technicians, installation

contractors, sales teams, and customers.

- Guide field teams on correct installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting practices.
- Escalate unresolved technical issues with a structured diagnosis covering problem, measurements, photographs,

probable cause, and recommended action.

ELIGIBILITY

- 3–5 years of experience in Solar PV, Electrical EPC, Solar Installation, Commissioning, O&M;,



or related technical

operations.

- Strong practical knowledge of On-Grid, Off-Grid, and Hybrid Solar PV systems.
- Hands-on experience in solar installation, electrical wiring, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of solar inverters, hybrid inverters/PCUs, lead-acid batteries, and lithium battery systems.
- Ability to read and understand SLDs, electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment datasheets.
- Knowledge of electrical protection systems including MCB, MCCB, fuse, SPD, isolator, earthing, and lightning

protection.

- Knowledge of electrical and solar testing instruments such as multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester/Megger,

and earth resistance tester.

- Knowledge of applicable BIS/IEC standards, electrical safety requirements, and solar installation practices will be

an advantage.

- Knowledge or experience of MNRE, DISCOM, APDCL, rooftop solar, and net-metering processes will be an added

advantage.

- Strong technical problem-solving and field execution skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across North Eastern states.
